Cenla Sluggers

The 13u Sluggers had a great weekend in Monroe!
Saturday was not their best day, but they sure bounced back Sunday to win the AA division in the June Classic at ULM and second place overall in the tournament. They were knocked out of the championship in the final game of the tournament by a hard hitting AAA team from Shreveport with some excellent pitching.

All the boys played excellent ball with some great hitting and defense. As I sometimes do, I want to pick the Webmaster’s MVP. My pick for this tournament is C J Gatlin. With the bases loaded, C J smacked one to the fence, for an infield grand slam home run. I also want to mention that Colt pitched the entire game to beat the West Monroe Titans in the second game.
