An organization dedicated to bringing a higher level of baseball to Central Louisiana, we are currently registering 12U and 13U teams. We also feel there is a need for other age groups and are interested in registering them as well. We all know this will take great effort from parents and coaches who are willing to dedicate their time to making this all possible. The Sluggers organization relies solely on donations, fund raisers, player fees, and sponsors for financial support. There is so much that goes into a USSSA organization to make it successful, which is one reason that so many teams only survive for a very short time. We feel that we have the base for what could be a USSSA organization that could support Central Louisiana for a very long time, provided that parents and coaches continue to step up and support the Cenla Sluggers. Each team has its own manager, coaches and secretary with all financial support going into a general fund for all teams to use for uniforms, equipment and tournament fees. All coaches and support personal are volunteers which are greatly appreciated. With this total effort, we as organizers of the Sluggers feel that these young people will enjoy what parents working together as a team can accomplish for the betterment of sports in Central Louisiana.
